Employer A


Employer A had an employee who made a request for flexible working prior to her scheduled return from maternity leave. They asked us help them with handling the procedure, including whether to invite the employee to a meeting, what to discuss at the meeting with the employee and on what basis they could lawfully turn down the request. The outcome was that Employer A and the employee were able to agree a modified version of what the employee had proposed in terms of her flexible working request and the employee returned to work after maternity leave on that agreed basis.
